Indian batter Shubman Gill tested positive for dengue ahead of the team’s first game in ICC World Cup 2023 against Australia. He was ruled out of the match as he was having high fever and also will be missing the game against Afghanistan on Wednesday (11th October)
But the latest reports in PTI have suggested worse things. It is learned that Shubman Gill was hospitalised in Chennai after his platelet count dropped a bit. With him not keeping well, it is also reported that he’s likely to be unfit for the game against Pakistan, which will be played on 14th October.
After the reports from PTI hogged the headlines, a new report in News 18 related to the Shubman Gill also emerged. As per that, the young India batter has been showing constant improvement and spent a night for observation in the Hospital on October 8th.
On 9th October Shubman Gill was back in the hotel and is working well. He will be taking a few more days to recover and might miss the clash against Pakistan. India will be hoping that he recovers soon as he will be crucial for them in the ICC World Cup 2023.
